Our courses for PE Civil, PE Mechanical and PE Electrical (Power) are structured as follows:

PE-Civil

The PE (Civil) Engineering exam is in breadth and depth format. All examinees work the breadth (AM) exam and one of the depth (PM) exams. The breadth exam contains questions from all areas of the discipline. The depth exams focus more closely on a single area of the engineering discipline. The PM depths are Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Water Resources, and Transportation. The AM breadth covers all of these areas.

The Excel Test PE (Civil) program consists of 77 hours of review course and workshops. Our course prepares students to take any of the 5 depths. The specific topics covered include the following: Traffic & Transportation Systems, Structures, Geotechnical, Foundations & Retaining Structures, Concrete & Steel Design, Timber & Masonry, Hydraulics, Pumps, Groundwater, Hydrology, Water & Wastewater Treatment, and Construction.

PE-Mechanical

The PE (Mechanical) examination is in breadth and depth format. All examinees work the breadth (AM) exam and one of the depth (PM) exams. The breadth exam contains questions from all areas of the discipline. The depth exams focus more closely on a single area of the engineering discipline. The PM depths are HVAC/Refrigeration, Machine Design, and Thermal/Fluid Systems. The AM breadth covers all of these areas.

The Excel Test PE (Mechanical) program consists of 72 hours of review course and workshops. Our course prepares students to take any of the 3 depths. The specific topics covered include the following: Fluids, Heat Transfer/Exchangers, Economic Analysis, Thermodynamics, Vibrations, HVAC/Refrigeration, Stress Analysis, Pumps, Combustion, Machine Design, Blowers and Compressors, and Power Plants.

PE-Electrical

The PE (Electrical) Engineering exam has PM subdisciplines of Computers, Power, and Electronics / Controls / Communications. Each subdiscipline is independent of the other. We offer a course only for the Power subdiscipline.

The Excel Test PE (Electrical) program consists of 72 hours of review course and workshops. It prepares students taking the Power subdiscipline. The Power course covers selected topics from Electrical Circuits, Power Systems, NEC, and Digital Systems.

In all our PE courses, our focus is to give students a concise, intensive, and structured review of the important topics needed to pass the exam, and we use our workshop sessions to ensure that you get the practice applying these topics in a problem-solving environment.
