Should I take Level 1 or Level 2?

The most important factor in deciding between the two exams is college requirements. Some colleges will require that students take the Level 2 exam; others will not specify. Students who have taken (and done well in) pre-calculus/trigonometry courses are qualified to take the Level 2 test. Those who are considering taking the Level I exam to score higher may want to think about which topics are fresher in their minds. Students applying to study disciplines that are more scientifically or mathematically oriented may also want to strongly consider taking the Level 2 exam as well in order to demonstrate proficiency with higher-level mathematics.
